On September 16, 2024, the Saudi Center for Community Service, an initiative of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), marked International Literacy Day—celebrated annually on September 8—at the Zaatari Refugee Camp in Jordan. The event featured a range of engaging activities designed to underscore the significance of education and knowledge. The center provided a course aimed at enhancing students' reading and writing skills, as well as a visual presentation to illustrate the course's impact. Additionally, a silent play entitled "The Conflict Between Knowledge and Ignorance" was performed. Children also contributed by writing educational phrases that were displayed on a mural, symbolizing their involvement and support. This initiative reflects KSrelief’s ongoing commitment to addressing illiteracy, advancing education, and fostering cultural and intellectual growth among camp residents.
