Banjul, July 30, 2023, In a recent development, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully wrapped up its emergency voluntary medical project in Banjul, Republic of Gambia. This noteworthy initiative focused on three crucial areas of medical care, namely gynecological oncology, vascular surgery, and pediatric surgery. The project witnessed the active participation of seven dedicated volunteers, both male and female. This update comes as a significant contribution towards addressing the healthcare needs of the local population in Banjul. In a recent campaign held last Friday, the dedicated team of medical professionals from KSrelief undertook a remarkable endeavor. Their efforts resulted in the successful completion of 66 critical life-saving surgeries. Each surgical intervention was executed with utmost precision and skill, ultimately culminating in a resounding triumph. The initiative is part of the comprehensive assistance extended by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian organization KSrelief, to bolster the healthcare system in Gambia. Additionally, it aims to foster a spirit of volunteerism among Saudi citizens, aligning with the objectives outlined in the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
