Hatay, February 08, 2024, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) recently concluded the fifth phase of its 'Hayat' volunteer project in Hatay Province, Türkiye, with resounding success.
The primary objective of this project was to extend relief to individuals affected by the earthquakes in Syria and Türkiye. Throughout the project, Saudi volunteer medical teams tirelessly provided a total of 939 services. These services directly benefited 896 individuals, with 64% being male and 36% female. Notably, 69% of the beneficiaries were refugees, while the remaining 31% were residents.
Among the range of services offered, 98 specialized surgeries and prosthetic limb installations were performed, alongside 158 physical therapy sessions. Additionally, specialized clinic consultations were provided to 683 individuals, while 40 local cadres received valuable training and capacity-building services.
This humanitarian endeavor, facilitated by the Kingdom through KSrelief, underscores its commitment to alleviating the suffering of those affected by the earthquakes in Syria and Türkiye. Such initiatives are emblematic of the Kingdom's unwavering dedication to providing vital relief efforts to communities in need.
