Tarsus, Türkiye – October 31, 2024 – In a significant initiative aimed at addressing critical healthcare needs, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched a volunteer medical project focused on performing open-heart surgeries and catheterizations for adults in Tarsus, Türkiye. This impactful initiative, which commenced on October 26 and will run until November 2, brings together 32 dedicated medical volunteers from diverse specialties to deliver essential surgical services to the local population.
Since the project’s inception, the KSrelief medical team has made notable strides, successfully completing five open-heart surgeries, two therapeutic catheterizations, and five diagnostic catheterizations. These procedures are vital for patients suffering from serious cardiovascular conditions, highlighting the urgent need for advanced medical care in the region.
