KSrelief delegation, led by Dr. Al-Ghamdi, visited Rohingya housing projects

Cox's Bazar, October 2, 2023, A delegation from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), led by Dr. Aqeel bin Jamaan Al-Ghamdi, the Assistant Supervisor General for Planning and Development, recently conducted a visit to housing unit projects in the Cox's Bazar area of Bangladesh, specifically designed for Rohingya refugees.

Dr. Al-Ghamdi emphasized the significance of the KSrelief shelter project aimed at aiding Rohingya refugees who were affected by a fire outbreak in the Cox's Bazar camps. This initiative involves the construction of 410 housing units, with 300 units already handed over to beneficiaries. The remaining units are expected to be delivered in the coming days.

In 2022, KSrelief successfully provided 500 housing units to Rohingya refugees in the Cox's Bazar region, benefiting a total of 590 families, comprising 3,000 individuals. This project exemplifies the Kingdom's commitment to its humanitarian duty, extending support to both Rohingya refugees and their host communities. Alongside housing assistance, KSrelief's aid efforts encompass healthcare, food, and shelter provisions as part of its comprehensive approach to address the needs of those affected by the Rohingya refugee crisis.
