Lilongwe, October 10, 2023, A delegation from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) recently paid a visit to the Republic of Malawi, bearing a significant financial aid package of $500,000 to aid the victims of Cyclone Freddy, which wreaked havoc in the country, resulting in loss of lives and property. The aid was formally received by Charles Kalemba, the Commissioner for the Department of Disaster Management Affairs, on behalf of the Malawian government, in the capital city of Lilongwe.
Kalemba conveyed his deep appreciation for the humanitarian assistance extended by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH the Crown Prince. He also acknowledged the pivotal role played by KSrelief in improving the living conditions of those affected by Cyclone Freddy in Malawi.
This financial assistance is part of the ongoing commitment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, to provide humanitarian and relief support to nations and individuals facing the impact of disasters across the globe.
