Islamabad, March 10, 2024, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has taken swift action by dispatching an urgent consignment of relief aid to assist flood-affected victims in Balochistan Province, Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Today's delivery comprises 1,188 tons of crucial food and shelter supplies, aiming to provide vital assistance to those impacted by the devastating floods. Included in the aid are 9,000 essential food baskets, each weighing 97 kilograms, and 9,000 emergency shelter kits consisting of tents, blankets, kitchen utensils, hygiene kits, water containers, flashlights, and solar panels. This timely assistance is anticipated to benefit a staggering 126,000 individuals grappling with the aftermath of the disaster.
The official handover ceremony was graced by the presence of notable dignitaries, including the Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki, and the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sarfraz Bugti, alongside several other officials.
Ambassador Al-Malki underscored the significance of this aid delivery, emphasizing its integral role in the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to supporting the Pakistani people through KSrelief. In response, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti extended heartfelt appreciation for Saudi Arabia's leadership, acknowledging its steadfast support during challenging times. He emphasized the profound impact that this humanitarian assistance would have in alleviating the plight of families affected by the floods.
