Idlib, January 13, 2025 – As part of its ongoing efforts to support those affected by the devastating earthquake in northern Syria, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) recently distributed 270 food baskets and 270 health kits in Torlaha village, located in the Idlib Governorate. This distribution, which benefited 1,620 individuals, is part of the second phase of a large-scale project aimed at providing essential aid to the earthquake-affected population in northern Syria throughout 2024.

The aid included nutritious food baskets, which will help families meet their immediate food needs, and health kits designed to address basic health and hygiene requirements, ensuring that recipients have access to essential medicines and supplies during this critical time. This distribution is part of a broader humanitarian response by KSrelief to alleviate the suffering of those impacted by the earthquake, which caused widespread devastation in the region.

This initiative forms a crucial component of Saudi Arabia's humanitarian and relief programs, which are implemented through KSrelief to assist the people of Syria and provide much-needed support to those facing hardship in the wake of natural disasters. The Kingdom continues to demonstrate its commitment to global humanitarian efforts, providing critical aid to those in need, particularly in conflict zones and disaster-stricken areas.

Through its targeted and compassionate efforts, KSrelief remains a key player in offering assistance to vulnerable populations in Syria, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s role as a leading contributor to international humanitarian aid. These projects reflect the Kingdom’s commitment to improving the lives of those suffering from humanitarian crises around the world.
