Aden, July 24, 2023, In a remarkable display of progress, the Masam project, under the supervision of the esteemed King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), successfully eradicated a staggering total of 856 landmines from various regions across Yemen during the third week of July 2023. In the demining area, a comprehensive inventory reveals the presence of 71 anti-tank mines, accompanied by a solitary anti-personnel mine. Additionally, a staggering number of 780 unexploded ordnance fragments have been identified, highlighting the potential dangers lurking beneath the surface. Furthermore, a mere quartet of explosive devices have been discovered, further underscoring the hazardous nature of the area. In a resolute display of commitment, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian organization KSrelief, is actively engaged in the Masam initiative. This noble endeavor aims to eliminate the grave threat posed by landmines within the borders of Yemen. The main goal of this initiative is to assist the people of Yemen in achieving a secure and dignified way of life free from the dangerous threat posed by explosive devices.
