KSrelief distributes 3,668 food baskets in Yemen's Hadhramaut Governorate

Hadhramaut, January 07, 2024, On Friday, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) carried out the distribution of 3,668 food baskets in the Hadhramaut Governorate of Yemen, marking a significant milestone in the third phase of the food aid distribution project for the population affected by various challenges in the region.

This initiative is part of the broader humanitarian and relief endeavors undertaken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its dedicated humanitarian arm, KSrelief. The primary objective is to bolster food security in Yemen, addressing the critical needs of communities grappling with challenging circumstances.

The overarching project has set out to distribute a total of 179,982 food baskets across multiple governorates, including Ma'rib, Al-Jawf, Hadhramaut, Shabwah, Al-Mahra, Socotra Island, Al-Hodeidah, and the areas surrounding the governorates of Hajjah and Saada. This concerted effort is anticipated to benefit a substantial number of individuals, reaching 253,659 people who are particularly vulnerable to the repercussions of the ongoing challenges in the region.

The distribution of these food baskets is a tangible manifestation of the Kingdom's commitment to extending a helping hand to those in need, emphasizing the significance of collaborative efforts to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and enhance the well-being of its affected population. As KSrelief continues its endeavors, the impact of these initiatives is poised to make a meaningful difference in the lives of countless individuals facing adversity in Yemen.
