Akkar, November 18, 2024 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has continued its impactful humanitarian work in Lebanon by distributing 300 winter clothing purchase vouchers to Lebanese orphans and individuals with special needs in the Akkar governorate. This distribution is part of the third phase of the winter clothing distribution project (Kanaf 3) for 2024, which aims to support vulnerable populations facing the challenges of the winter season.
Each voucher, which has been issued to 300 carefully selected recipients, allows them to choose winter clothing of their preference from accredited stores within the Akkar region. This initiative provides recipients with the flexibility to select the clothing that best meets their individual needs, ensuring they are better equipped to face the harsh winter conditions.
The Kanaf 3 project, spearheaded by KSrelief, is designed to assist both refugees and host communities in Lebanon, many of whom are enduring difficult circumstances due to economic challenges and the ongoing refugee crisis. By providing essential winter clothing, KSrelief aims to alleviate some of the hardships faced by the most vulnerable groups, particularly children and people with disabilities, who are at greater risk during the cold season.
KSrelief’s ongoing efforts in Lebanon reflect Saudi Arabia’s broader commitment to humanitarian aid and relief across the region. The Kingdom, through its various humanitarian initiatives, continues to play a pivotal role in supporting displaced populations and vulnerable communities, reaffirming its dedication to providing assistance in times of need. This winter clothing initiative is just one example of Saudi Arabia's enduring humanitarian support to Lebanon and other countries facing similar challenges.
