N'Djamena, December 5, 2024 – In a continued effort to address food insecurity in vulnerable regions, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has successfully distributed 352 food baskets in the Mayo-Kebbi Est region of Chad. This initiative, part of the broader 2024 Chad Food Security Support project, has directly benefited 2,112 individuals facing dire conditions.
The food baskets, which contain essential provisions such as grains, oils, and other basic supplies, are part of KSrelief’s broader commitment to alleviating human suffering in some of the world’s most disadvantaged areas. The Mayo-Kebbi Est region, home to many communities struggling with economic hardship, has seen increased levels of vulnerability, particularly due to climate challenges and conflict.
This project reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s steadfast dedication to humanitarian assistance and global food security. By providing much-needed relief in Chad, KSrelief continues to demonstrate its role as a key player in global efforts to combat hunger and provide sustainable solutions to those in need. The Kingdom’s ongoing support through KSrelief not only addresses immediate needs but also helps to pave the way for long-term resilience in the affected communities.
