Accra, Mar 16, 2024, On Wednesday, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) commenced the distribution of 500 food baskets to the most vulnerable families in the Old Tafo Kumasi district of the Republic of Ghana. This initiative, known as the "Ramadan Feeding Basket Project" for 2023, is part of ongoing efforts to provide assistance during the holy month in the West African nation.
The distribution of these food baskets will directly benefit 3,000 individuals in need. Each basket, weighing approximately 59.8 kilograms, contains essential food items. Overall, the project aims to distribute 5,300 such baskets across five cities in Ghana, ultimately supporting 31,800 people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
This humanitarian endeavor reflects the commitment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, to extend support to needy communities worldwide during Ramadan. It is one of many initiatives aimed at providing relief and assistance to those facing hardship, underscoring the kingdom's dedication to humanitarian and relief projects on a global scale.
