Idlib, November 18, 2024 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has continued its critical support to those affected by the 2024 earthquake in northern Syria by distributing 333 food baskets and 333 hygiene kits in the Idlib region on Friday, November 15. This aid reached a total of 1,998 individuals from 333 families, offering essential supplies to communities still reeling from the devastating impacts of the earthquake.
The distribution forms part of the second phase of a comprehensive relief project aimed at addressing both immediate and long-term needs of the affected populations. The food baskets contain vital nourishment to sustain families, while the hygiene kits provide basic sanitary products that help prevent the spread of disease in areas where access to clean water and sanitation is limited.
This project is one of many humanitarian initiatives led by KSrelief as part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to assist those affected by natural disasters and other crises. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has consistently played a pivotal role in delivering aid to regions in need, particularly in war-torn or disaster-impacted areas. Through KSrelief, the Kingdom continues to provide targeted relief to vulnerable populations, focusing on food security, health, and essential services.
The distribution of food and hygiene supplies in Idlib reflects the Kingdom’s dedication to alleviating suffering and providing much-needed assistance to communities in crisis. As the region continues to recover from the earthquake’s devastating effects, KSrelief’s ongoing efforts underscore Saudi Arabia's strong commitment to humanitarian relief and global cooperation in times of need. This initiative is part of a broader strategy by KSrelief to extend relief efforts across Syria and other regions facing similar humanitarian challenges.
