Beirut, December 04, 2024 — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has made significant strides in providing relief to vulnerable communities in Lebanon by distributing 790 winter clothing vouchers across several regions of the country. The voucher distribution, which took place in Sidon, Northern Mount Lebanon, Chouf, and Naameh, is part of the third phase of the Winter Clothing Distribution project, Kanaf-3, for the year 2024. This initiative is designed to alleviate the hardships faced by disadvantaged individuals during the harsh winter months.
The 790 vouchers were distributed to a diverse group of recipients, including orphans, persons with disabilities, and members of Syrian and Palestinian refugee communities, as well as the host population. Each voucher allows the beneficiaries to purchase winter clothing from a list of approved local stores, ensuring that they have the necessary warmth and protection during Lebanon’s cold season.
This effort is a continuation of KSrelief's longstanding commitment to addressing the needs of vulnerable populations in Lebanon. By providing these winter clothing vouchers, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, continues its humanitarian mission to improve the quality of life for refugees and those in need, helping them to cope with the challenges posed by severe winter conditions. The Kanaf-3 initiative is just one of many ongoing relief projects aimed at supporting vulnerable groups in Lebanon, reinforcing the Kingdom’s dedication to global humanitarian efforts.
