Islamabad, November 8, 2024 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has once again demonstrated Saudi Arabia's unwavering commitment to global humanitarian assistance with the distribution of 1,500 shelter bags in the flood-affected areas of Kohistan and Karak districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan. The aid, which is part of KSrelief’s ongoing efforts in Pakistan, is aimed at supporting the most vulnerable populations in the region who are facing the compounded challenges of displacement and harsh winter conditions.
The shelter bags, designed to provide both temporary housing and protection from the cold, are expected to benefit over 10,500 individuals in these flood-hit communities. This initiative is part of the fourth phase of KSrelief’s 2024 project, which focuses on providing essential shelter materials and winter aid to those affected by natural disasters across Pakistan. These supplies will provide immediate relief to families struggling to rebuild their lives after the devastating floods that have disrupted the region’s infrastructure and left thousands of people without adequate shelter.
KSrelief’s humanitarian project in Pakistan has been a cornerstone of Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to assist disaster-stricken areas worldwide. By addressing both the immediate needs and long-term recovery of affected communities, the center is playing a critical role in alleviating the suffering of those hit hardest by the floods. The distribution of shelter materials, such as tents and winterization kits, is part of a larger international humanitarian effort led by KSrelief, which continues to provide aid to communities in need, regardless of nationality, religion, or ethnicity.
This latest distribution highlights Saudi Arabia's consistent support for global humanitarian efforts, reinforcing the Kingdom's role as a leading provider of aid and assistance in times of crisis. Through KSrelief, Saudi Arabia has contributed to a wide range of projects aimed at improving the lives of those affected by natural disasters, conflict, and poverty, demonstrating the Kingdom’s commitment to humanitarian values and solidarity with those in need.
