Aleppo, January 23, 2025 – On Monday, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) launched an impactful initiative in Jindires, Aleppo Governorate, Syria, distributing shopping vouchers to 3,271 individuals from vulnerable families affected by the devastating earthquake. The vouchers enabled beneficiaries to purchase winter clothing of their choice from a range of approved local stores, providing them with the means to prepare for the harsh winter conditions in the region.

This distribution is part of the broader Winter Clothing Distribution Project (Kanaf) initiative, a vital component of KSrelief’s ongoing efforts to address the humanitarian needs in Syria. The program aims to alleviate the suffering of the displaced and those living in extreme poverty by helping them access essential winter items, ensuring that families can better cope with the cold season. The beneficiaries, primarily from families whose lives were upended by the earthquake, now have the opportunity to obtain clothing that meets their specific needs and preferences.

The initiative underscores the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s continued commitment to supporting those affected by crises around the world. Through KSrelief, the Kingdom has been at the forefront of humanitarian relief efforts, providing aid and assistance to the most vulnerable populations in conflict zones and disaster-stricken regions. This project is just one example of how KSrelief is leveraging resources to provide essential support, demonstrate solidarity, and improve the living conditions of those enduring hardship, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian leadership globally.

KSrelief’s ongoing efforts in Syria highlight the importance of tailored support in times of crisis, focusing not just on immediate needs, but also on offering individuals and families the dignity of choice and empowerment in their recovery process. By helping those in need access vital supplies, the center continues to make significant strides in enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable communities, not only in Syria but across the world.
