December 02, 2024 – Saudi Arabia has reinforced its commitment to supporting women in the world’s most vulnerable regions through numerous projects launched by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief). Since its establishment, KSrelief has carried out 3,135 projects in 106 countries, with a total value exceeding US$7.144 billion. Of these, 1,026 projects, valued at US$687.173 million, have been dedicated to empowering women and enhancing their roles in society.
KSrelief’s initiatives focus on offering protection services for displaced women and equipping them with the skills needed for economic empowerment. By providing training in various professional and commercial fields, the center helps women access income-generating opportunities, improving their livelihoods and those of their families.
This year, KSrelief has notably supported over 3,978 women and girls in Yemen, providing them with training, economic empowerment, and mental health care to help them rebuild their lives. This assistance is part of the center’s ongoing efforts, in partnership with the United Nations, to uplift the most vulnerable women and girls, enabling them to fulfill their aspirations despite the challenges they face.
