KSrelief launches health, water, and sanitation projects in Sudan

Port Sudan, March 4, 2024, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) initiated a series of initiatives in Sudan focusing on healthcare, water, and environmental sanitation, unveiled during a ceremony attended by the Saudi Ambassador to Sudan, Ali bin Hassan Jafar, Sudanese officials, and a delegation from KSrelief.

The projects encompass the provision of essential medical equipment for emergency, intensive care, and surgical departments across seven states in Sudan. Additionally, efforts have been directed towards the rehabilitation of the water desalination truck station in Port Sudan, a crucial step in addressing water scarcity issues.

Furthermore, KSrelief-backed endeavors include the establishment of a state-of-the-art therapeutic oxygen station at the Accident Teaching Hospital, capable of producing 30 meters per hour. This initiative is geared towards fulfilling the oxygen requirements of the city and the state across various localities. Additionally, urgent maintenance work has been undertaken at the oxygen station at Othman Digna Hospital.

These initiatives are part of the ongoing humanitarian and relief endeavors undertaken by the Kingdom, through KSrelief, to support the Sudanese populace and ameliorate their living conditions amidst the prevailing humanitarian challenges they face.
