Nouakchott, November 21, 2023, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) initiated the Saudi Noor Voluntary Project on Sunday in the city of Rosso, Islamic Republic of Mauritania. The project, running from November 17 to 24, is focused on combating blindness and the underlying diseases that contribute to it.
Since the project's commencement, the volunteer medical team affiliated with KSrelief has examined 1,245 cases, conducted 40 surgical procedures, and provided 611 medications through Tuesday. This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm KSrelief, to address and combat blindness and its causes on a global scale.
The primary goal of the Noor Voluntary Project is to extend crucial assistance to patients and individuals affected by eye diseases in needy countries and communities, underlining the Kingdom's commitment to promoting healthcare and well-being worldwide.
