KSrelief Empowers Women in Yemen
On May 3, 2025, Saudi Arabia, through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), launched a 12-month project to protect and uplift women affected by gender-based violence in Aden and Taiz, Yemen.
In partnership with UN Women and Yemen’s Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, this effort will directly support 18,000 displaced women and survivors, as well as 325 frontline professionals working in protection centers and safe spaces. The initiative also aims to indirectly impact over 126,000 people through community education.
This integrated program focuses on four goals: strengthening women’s protection, developing staff capacities in case management, expanding psychosocial and legal aid, and conducting awareness campaigns on women’s rights.
