KSrelief launches project for mobile housing units for Syrian refugees

Ahmed Saleh

Amman, March 29, 2024, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) took a significant step forward in its humanitarian efforts by launching a project aimed at providing mobile housing units for Syrian refugees residing in Jordan's Zaatari camp. Collaborating closely with the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), the initiative aims to offer shelter to families in need within the camp.

The opening ceremony of this project was attended by key figures, including JHCO Secretary-General Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli and Nayef bin Saleh Shammari, the Director of the KSrelief Jordan Office. The project's primary objective is to provide suitable housing solutions for Syrian refugee families by deploying 500 mobile housing units, each designated for a family in the camp. This effort is particularly crucial due to the increasing number of refugees, including new arrivals and recently married camp residents.

The project aligns with the broader humanitarian and relief endeavors led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief, focusing on supporting Syrian refugees and improving their living conditions. By providing essential shelter to vulnerable families, this initiative contributes significantly to alleviating the hardships faced by refugees and enhances their overall well-being within the Zaatari camp.
