Hadhramaut, December 21, 2023, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has initiated its third volunteer medical campaign focusing on plastic surgery, burns, and deformities at Seiyun General Hospital Authority in Hadhramaut. The campaign, which runs from December 17 to 23, involves 16 volunteers from various medical specialties.
During the project, the medical team has already performed 68 specialized surgeries. Additionally, the volunteer medical team has examined 185 cases at the dermatology clinic and 196 individuals at the surgery and plastic-surgery clinic. Training programs in dermatology were also conducted, benefiting 14 individuals.
Salem bin Sharman, Undersecretary of Hadhramout Governorate, expressed appreciation for the humanitarian assistance provided by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He commended KSrelief and the medical staff for their humanitarian efforts in delivering necessary medical diagnostics and therapeutic services.
Bin Sharman highlighted the significance of the medical staff's efforts in performing surgeries to alleviate the suffering of burn patients, addressing complications and deformities through surgical interventions.
This campaign in Hadhramaut is part of the broader health projects implemented by the Kingdom, through KSrelief, aimed at enhancing the Yemeni health sector and improving healthcare services for the local population.
