The project continues to play a crucial role in making Yemen's land safer, supporting the return of displaced communities and contributing to the country’s post-conflict recovery.
The Masam Project, led by KSrelief, cleared 618 explosive devices in Yemen during the fourth week of November 2024, including 1 anti-personnel mine, 23 anti-tank mines, and 594 unexploded ordnance items.

On December 4, 2024, the Masam Project, a vital initiative led by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) to clear Yemen’s landmines, made significant strides during the fourth week of November 2024. The project successfully cleared a total of 618 explosive devices across various regions of Yemen. This included one anti-personnel mine, 23 anti-tank mines, and 594 unexploded ordnance items. These efforts are part of a larger mission to make Yemen’s land safer for its citizens, reducing the risks posed by mines that have long been a threat due to ongoing conflict.

In total, 2,967 mines were cleared in Yemen during the entire month of November 2024, adding to the overall number of 471,034 mines cleared since the Masam Project began. This achievement highlights the extensive scale and impact of the project, which continues to play a critical role in restoring safety and stability to Yemen’s war-torn regions.

The Masam Project remains a cornerstone of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian efforts in Yemen, focused not only on saving lives but also on enabling displaced individuals and communities to return to their homes and rebuild in a safer environment. The success of the project stands as a testament to the dedication and expertise of the teams working tirelessly to clear hazardous areas, offering Yemenis a brighter, mine-free future.
