The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed shelter kits and food baskets to 600 families in As-Suwayda, Syria, as part of Saudi Arabia's ongoing humanitarian assistance efforts.

As-Suwayda, January 17, 2025 – In a continued effort to provide humanitarian support to those affected by the ongoing crisis in Syria, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed shelter kits and food baskets to 600 families in the As-Suwayda region of southern Syria on Thursday. This vital assistance aims to alleviate the suffering of displaced and vulnerable communities in the region, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s commitment to providing humanitarian relief in the face of ongoing challenges.

The shelter kits, which provide essential materials for temporary housing, are designed to offer immediate relief to families who have lost their homes due to the conflict. In addition, the food baskets, which contain crucial provisions, aim to address food insecurity and provide families with much-needed nutrition in a region severely impacted by the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

This distribution is part of the broader suite of humanitarian programs and projects spearheaded by KSrelief, which operates in numerous countries across the Middle East and beyond to support those affected by conflict, displacement, and natural disasters. The organization’s initiatives in Syria focus on providing essential aid, including food, medical supplies, shelter, and education support, to help alleviate the widespread suffering caused by the protracted conflict.

KSrelief’s efforts in As-Suwayda are a testament to Saudi Arabia’s ongoing dedication to humanitarian work and its commitment to alleviating the hardship faced by the Syrian people. By providing practical support to displaced families, Saudi Arabia continues to demonstrate solidarity with the Syrian people and contribute to international efforts to provide relief and build a more sustainable future for the affected populations.

Through its ongoing relief efforts, KSrelief plays a pivotal role in mitigating the humanitarian crisis in Syria and ensuring that aid reaches those who need it most.
