On Monday, August 21, 2024, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) made significant strides in supporting education in Yemen's Khanfir District, Abyan Governorate. As part of the second phase of the "Back to School" project, KSrelief delivered 30 alternative classrooms and distributed 600 school bags and uniforms to students in need.

This initiative underscores the Kingdom's commitment to enhancing educational opportunities in Yemen. The provision of alternative classrooms ensures that students have access to learning environments that meet high standards of quality, addressing the challenges faced by schools in conflict-affected areas.

Parents of the benefiting students expressed heartfelt gratitude to KSrelief and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their generosity. The new classrooms and educational supplies are seen as vital support for their children's education, offering them a better chance for academic success and personal development.

The "Back to School" project reflects KSrelief’s broader efforts to improve educational conditions across various regions of Yemen. This initiative includes plans to equip a total of 95 alternative classrooms and distribute educational materials such as school bags and uniforms in other areas including Hajjah, Hadhramaut, and Perim Island in Taiz Governorate. Additionally, the project aims to support local economies by creating job opportunities for low-income families through the production of locally made school bags.

Through these efforts, KSrelief continues to demonstrate its commitment to humanitarian aid and educational support, working to make a positive impact on the lives of Yemeni students and their families.
