Amman, January 05, 2025 – In a continued effort to support vulnerable communities during the harsh winter season, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) carried out the third phase of the Winter Clothing Distribution Project (Kanaf) in Jordan. On Thursday, KSrelief distributed shopping vouchers to 1,055 individuals, including 191 Palestinian refugee families residing in the Amman and Madaba governorates. The vouchers were redeemable at authorized stores, allowing the beneficiaries to select winter clothing that best suits their needs and preferences.
This initiative is a key component of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing humanitarian outreach in Jordan, aimed at easing the difficulties faced by displaced and refugee populations, particularly during the colder months. KSrelief’s Winter Clothing Distribution Project is a testament to the Kingdom's commitment to providing practical aid that addresses the immediate needs of the most vulnerable groups, offering them the means to stay warm and protected in the face of extreme weather conditions.
By empowering refugees to purchase their own clothing, KSrelief not only provides essential assistance but also gives them the agency to meet their personal needs with dignity. This project forms part of a broader effort by KSrelief, which consistently works to alleviate suffering and improve the living conditions of displaced individuals and families, as part of the Kingdom's vision to extend its humanitarian role worldwide.
This distribution comes at a time when many of Jordan’s refugee communities are bracing for a particularly cold winter, and KSrelief’s assistance helps ease the burden on families already facing significant challenges. With this program, KSrelief continues to build on its established reputation as a leading force in international humanitarian relief, ensuring that its efforts make a meaningful difference in the lives of people in need.
