KSrelief Restores Hope for Mine Victims in Aden

Aden, September 13, 2024 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has been a lifeline for victims of landmines in Yemen, offering critical support through its Prosthetic Limbs and Rehabilitation Center in Aden. The center has provided vital services to thousands impacted by the conflict.

During the sixth phase of the project, which spanned from September 2023 to June 2024, the center treated 2,961 patients, supplying prosthetic limbs, orthotic devices, and physiotherapy. This included 413 newly installed prosthetic limbs and maintenance for 450 existing ones.

KSrelief has gone beyond medical care by enhancing local rehabilitation services, empowering local staff, and improving service quality. Additionally, its Masam Project has cleared 458,477 landmines across Yemen, substantially reducing the risk of injuries and saving countless lives.

These efforts underscore Saudi Arabia's ongoing dedication to providing humanitarian aid and its unwavering commitment to alleviating the suffering of those affected by the conflict in Yemen.
