During the first week of August 2024, the Masam Project effectively removed 670 landmines from various areas around Yemen. Twenty-one explosive devices, five anti-personnel mines, 47 anti-tank mines, 570 unexploded ordnance pieces, and 570 anti-tank mines were among the landmines that were removed.
Since its founding, the Masam Project has cleared 453,968 landmines in an effort to keep innocent people safe.
"Aden, on the 6th of August, 2024, The Masam Project, a division of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) that specializes in mine clearance in Yemen, successfully removed 670 landmines from various locations in Yemen during the first week of August 2024."
There were twenty-one explosive devices, five anti-personnel mines, 47 anti-tank mines, 570 anti-tank mines, and 570 unexploded ordnance pieces among them.
The Masam Project has been successful in removing 453,968 landmines over its tenure. These mines were deliberately placed all throughout Yemen in an aim to injure civilian populations, especially women, children, and the elderly.
