In Aden, August 27, 2024, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's (KSrelief) Masam Project has marked another significant milestone in its ongoing mission to clear mines across Yemen. During the fourth week of August 2024 alone, the dedicated team successfully dismantled a total of 837 mines. This impressive figure includes two anti-personnel mines, 59 anti-tank mines, five explosive devices, and 771 unexploded ordnance.
Since the inception of the Masam Project, an astounding total of 456,664 mines have been cleared, reflecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s unwavering commitment to eliminating this deadly threat from Yemeni lands. The presence of these mines has tragically caused numerous casualties and injuries to innocent civilians, underscoring the critical importance of this humanitarian effort.
