Backed by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), a project operating the Prosthetic and Rehabilitation Center in Seiyun, Hadhramaut Governorate, delivered essential medical services to 281 beneficiaries from Yemen who had lost limbs in September.
Throughout the project's duration, a total of 1,380 services were provided, with 60% directed towards males and 40% towards females. Notably, 17% of the recipients were displaced individuals, while 83% were residents. A significant aspect of this initiative involved comprehensive care for 14 patients, including the manufacturing, installation, and rehabilitation of prosthetic limbs, covering delivery, measurements, and maintenance.
Additionally, the project extended physical therapy services, benefiting 348 patients through sessions and specialized consultations.
This undertaking reflects a crucial component of the Kingdom's humanitarian initiatives, spearheaded by KSrelief, with the aim of enhancing the healthcare sector's capabilities and alleviating the challenges faced by the Yemeni population.
