Khartoum, February 4, 2025 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has delivered a substantial aid package to Sudan in the form of 125 tons of dates, a generous gift from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This initiative is part of the Kingdom's continued commitment to supporting Sudan and strengthening bilateral relations through humanitarian efforts.
The official handover ceremony took place in Khartoum and was attended by a delegation from KSrelief, as well as key Sudanese officials. Saudi Ambassador to Sudan, Ali bin Hassan Jaafar, handed over the dates to Sudan’s Minister of Social Development, Ahmed Adam Bakhit. The ceremony also saw the presence of Fathallah Al-Haj Ahmed, the Acting Governor of the Red Sea State, and Secretary-General of the Government, highlighting the significance of the occasion.
This generous contribution is a reflection of Saudi Arabia’s long-standing tradition of providing humanitarian assistance to nations in need. The Kingdom's support through KSrelief continues to make a tangible difference in the lives of many, as it remains dedicated to offering aid and assistance to both friendly and brotherly nations across a wide range of sectors. The delivery of dates, a staple food item, is designed to help alleviate food insecurity, particularly during difficult times.
The initiative is another example of Saudi Arabia’s sustained humanitarian efforts, which align with its broader goals of fostering international solidarity and cooperation, as part of its commitment to providing relief and improving the living conditions of those in need worldwide.
