Riyadh, December 13, 2023, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has signed an agreement with a civil society organization to operate the Emergency Center for Epidemic Diseases Control in Hiran District, Hajjah Governorate, Yemen. The agreement, signed by Assistant Supervisor General of KSrelief for Operations and Programs, Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, aims to provide diagnostic, treatment, and isolation services for patients suffering from epidemic diseases.
Under the project, the emergency center will offer medicines, medical and preventive supplies, intravenous and laboratory solutions. It will enhance efforts to combat epidemic diseases among displaced persons and host communities, provide statistical data for the epidemiological monitoring system database, conduct awareness and health education programs, implement fogging campaigns, distribute mosquito nets, and dispose of medical waste. The initiative is expected to benefit more than 63,000 people.
This agreement reflects the Kingdom's ongoing efforts, through its humanitarian arm KSrelief, to support the Yemeni people and the health sector during the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the region.
