Riyadh, May 11, 2024 – On Wednesday, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) and the International Wars and Disasters victims’ protection Association (IRVD) signed a cooperation agreement to run a healthcare program in the northwest Syrian regions affected by earthquakes, benefiting 251,307 people.
For Operations and Programs Engineering, KSrelief Assistant Supervisor General. The agreement was signed by Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz at the organization's Riyadh headquarters.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Muallem, director of the KSrelief Health and Environmental Assistance Department, clarified that beneficiaries will receive integrative and field healthcare services as well as psychological, social, and nutritional support under the terms of the agreement.
Regular immunization campaigns, the provision of therapeutic and diagnostic health services, the execution of surgical procedures, the provision of medications and non-medical consumables, the improvement of primary, secondary, and tertiary health services; as well as the provision of baby formula to lessen the pain of earthquake victims by means of efficient medical response in various Syrian regions.
The assistance is part of the Kingdom's efforts to support areas of Syria affected by earthquakes through KSrelief, its humanitarian arm.
