Al-Mahra, May 13, 2024, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) team paid an inspection visit to the oxygen gas cylinder filling plant at Qishn General Hospital in Yemen's Al-Mahra Governorate, funded by the enter in cooperation with the UN World Health Organization.
During the tour, the team was briefed on the state-of-the-art machinery and controls at the facility. The tour took them through the steps used by the main pressure systems and how they work, as well as the pipes that link the different medical and industrial units. The plant can produce 22,630 oxygen cylinders, or 905,200 liters of oxygen per year, which is great news for Qishn, Sayhut, Messila, and Haswain districts in Mahra Governorate.
The funding falls within the framework of the center's humanitarian and relief operations, which aim to assist the Yemeni healthcare sector and acquire essential medical supplies and equipment for healthcare institutions around Yemen.
