Al-Hudaydah, Yemen, April 12, 2024, In its ongoing efforts, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has been actively engaged in the Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation Project in Al-Khawkhah Directorate within the Al-Hudaydah Governorate of the Republic of Yemen.
Throughout February, KSrelief successfully delivered 2,639,000 liters of potable water and 2,581,000 liters of usable water to the region. Moreover, the center conducted 104 waste removal shifts in displaced camps, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for inhabitants.
In addition to these vital water supply efforts, KSrelief performed maintenance operations on emergency toilets and tank bases, totaling 32 and 23 operations, respectively. Furthermore, the center carried out 85 water-drying operations, 35 campaigns for insecticide spraying, and a comprehensive cleaning campaign. Notably, KSrelief also established and excavated a waste dump and conducted water quality testing operations, all of which collectively benefitted approximately 9,800 individuals in the area.
These extensive services underscore KSrelief's commitment to enhancing living conditions and promoting public health in vulnerable communities, exemplifying the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's dedication to humanitarian aid and relief efforts in Yemen and beyond.
