Kuala Lumpur, March 15, 2025 – The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted a special iftar meal yesterday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' annual iftar program for Ramadan 1446 AH. The event brought together local Muslims to observe the holy month of Ramadan and foster a sense of unity and brotherhood.

This year, the ministry is implementing the iftar program in an impressive 61 countries, aimed at supporting Muslim communities worldwide during the blessed month. The initiative not only provides iftar meals but also helps alleviate the burdens of fasting during Ramadan, offering a tangible expression of Saudi Arabia's commitment to the welfare of the global Muslim community. The program is designed to bring joy, solidarity, and a spirit of giving to those in need during Ramadan.

In addition to the iftar meals, the ministry’s extensive programs also include the distribution of dates, an essential part of the Ramadan tradition, as well as copies of the Quran to help enrich the spiritual lives of Muslims. The ministry also organizes various religious and cultural activities to deepen the understanding of the holy month and promote communal harmony.

Through this initiative, Saudi Arabia continues to demonstrate its unwavering dedication to supporting Muslims worldwide, not only through financial assistance but by fostering a deeper connection to the core values of Ramadan—charity, reflection, and community. The program in Malaysia, alongside similar efforts in other nations, reflects the Kingdom’s broader mission of promoting peace, compassion, and solidarity across the Muslim world.
