Kuwait, January 29, 2024, Kuwaiti Prime Minister, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, assumed the role of Deputy Amir of the State of Kuwait during an extraordinary parliamentary session on Monday. The official swearing-in ceremony took place as per the constitutional requirements outlined in Article 63. This article stipulates that the Deputy Amir takes the oath before the National Assembly in an extraordinary session before commencing the execution of their duties. The move follows the protocol in the constitutional process and signifies the formal assumption of responsibilities by Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah as the Deputy Amir of Kuwait.
