Makkah, October 12, 2023, In a rigorous effort to safeguard the well-being of pilgrims and visitors to the Grand Mosque, the Laboratory of the Grand Mosque, overseen by the General Authority for Caring for the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet's Holy Mosque, conducts meticulous inspections of food, water, and surface sterilization. Stringently adhering to the highest health quality standards, this state-of-the-art facility employs a comprehensive approach.
Utilizing a combination of analytical results and data, the laboratory meticulously assesses the quality of dates and meals distributed to mosque visitors. Additionally, it rigorously monitors the sterilization levels of various surfaces within the mosque to ensure their safety. These assessments encompass a range of analyses, including microbiological, chemical, and physical examinations.
On a daily basis, the laboratory receives a substantial volume of samples for thorough examination. These include 50 water samples and 20 date samples. Furthermore, surface testing is conducted frequently, ranging from 5 to 10 times, using an array of sophisticated chemical devices. This comprehensive testing regimen reflects the dedication to maintaining the highest standards of safety and hygiene for all who come to the Grand Mosque.
