Riyadh, February 28, 2024, The highly anticipated International Sub-14 LaLiga FC Futures Tournament is set to commence this Friday at the Mahd Sports Academy in Riyadh, marking a significant milestone as it debuts in Saudi Arabia.
This inaugural edition of LaLiga FC Futures in the Kingdom introduces several new elements compared to previous tournaments organized by the renowned Spanish La Liga. Most notably, participating players will experience the 11-a-side football format for the first time over a three-day period, adding an exciting dimension to the competition.
A total of 12 prestigious clubs will vie for glory in the tournament, comprising eight LaLiga EA Sports teams alongside esteemed international counterparts such as AS Roma (Italy), Benfica (Portugal), and Olympique de Marseille (France), in addition to the host team Mahd Academy (Saudi Arabia). The participating teams will be divided into three groups, each featuring a diverse mix of talent:
- Group A: Mahd Academy, FC Barcelona, AS Roma, and Cádiz CF
- Group B: Atlético de Madrid, Olympique de Marseille, Sevilla FC, and Villarreal CF
- Group C: Real Betis, Valencia CF, Benfica, and CA Osasuna
