Beirut, December 15, 2024 – In a significant display of humanitarian support, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has funded the ambulance service of the Subul Al Salam Social Association in the Miniyeh district of northern Lebanon. Between November 29 and December 5, 2024, the association successfully carried out 70 vital missions, providing essential emergency medical transport to the most vulnerable populations in the region.
The missions, which included both the transportation of patients to and from hospitals and the provision of emergency medical services to individuals injured in accidents, played a crucial role in addressing the urgent health needs of the local communities. In a region where healthcare resources are often stretched thin due to the large number of refugees and displaced individuals, these services are essential in ensuring timely medical care and alleviating the burden on Lebanon's already overextended healthcare system.
This initiative is part of KSrelief’s broader commitment to improving healthcare access for refugees and host communities in Lebanon. By funding the Subul Al Salam Social Association’s ambulance services, KSrelief has directly contributed to providing life-saving medical assistance to some of the most underserved populations in the Miniyeh district, which has been significantly impacted by both the Syrian refugee crisis and Lebanon’s ongoing economic challenges.
