Hail, January 31, 2025 – Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Hail Region and Chairman of both the Hail Region Development Authority and the Supreme Organizing Committee for the Hail Toyota International Rally 2025, officially launched the highly anticipated 20th edition of the rally today. The event, a milestone in the world of motorsports, marks two decades of thrilling competition and has solidified its place as one of the premier motorsport events in the region. The opening ceremony, held in the vibrant city of Hail, was attended by key figures in the motorsports community, including Feher Alshareif, Vice President of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF), who delivered an impactful speech highlighting the rally’s significance.


In his address, Alshareif emphasized the generous and unwavering support provided by the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in promoting sports, with a special focus on rally racing. He noted that the Hail Toyota International Rally has become a significant fixture in the global motorsports calendar, attracting elite drivers from across the globe. Since its inception in February 2006, the rally has witnessed tremendous growth and is now a prominent fixture in the motorsport community. Alshareif underscored that the rally is distinguished by its four major championships: the World Baja Championship, the Middle East Baja Championship, the Asia Motorcycle Championship, and the Saudi Toyota Championship. These prestigious events elevate the Hail Toyota International Rally as a key international destination for motorsport enthusiasts.


As part of the launch ceremony, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz honored the rally's government partners, including the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), recognizing their invaluable contributions to the event’s success and its continuous development. The Governor also officially declared the start of the 2025 edition of the rally, signaling the beginning of another exciting chapter in the rally’s rich history.


Later, Prince Abdulaziz took the opportunity to visit the Hail Toyota International Rally 2025 Security Operations Center and the Al-Maghwa Security Point, both essential components in ensuring the safety and smooth operation of the event. His visit underscored the importance of security in maintaining the success of such a large-scale international event and ensuring a safe environment for participants, organizers, and spectators alike.
