Beirut, February 23, 2025 – In a continued demonstration of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to humanitarian relief in the region, the ambulance service of the Subul Al-Salam Social Association in Miniyeh, Northern Lebanon, conducted 71 emergency missions between February 14 and 20. This vital initiative, funded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), provided critical medical services to both refugee populations and the host community in Lebanon.
The emergency missions, which were an essential part of the support provided to the region’s vulnerable communities, involved a wide range of life-saving activities. The ambulance teams delivered first aid, transported patients to and from hospitals, and provided immediate care for burn victims, ensuring that those in urgent need of medical attention received the necessary assistance.
The beneficiaries of these efforts included Syrian and Palestinian refugees living in the Miniyeh area, who have faced significant challenges due to their displacement, as well as local Lebanese residents. The initiative aims to bridge the gap in healthcare access for these communities, who often find themselves without adequate medical facilities or resources.
The support for emergency medical services is a crucial part of a larger project funded by KSrelief, which focuses on enhancing emergency services and improving transportation infrastructure in refugee areas and host communities throughout Lebanon. This project, which is designed to address the specific health and transportation needs of displaced populations, plays a vital role in alleviating the hardships faced by refugees and local residents alike.
KSrelief's involvement in this initiative reflects Saudi Arabia’s ongoing dedication to providing humanitarian aid to those in need across the region, particularly in Lebanon, where the refugee crisis continues to put immense pressure on local communities and healthcare systems. Through these efforts, Saudi Arabia is contributing to the stability and well-being of Lebanon’s most vulnerable populations, ensuring that they have access to life-saving medical care and support in times of crisis.
By supporting services like the Subul Al-Salam Social Association's ambulance service, Saudi Arabia helps to improve the capacity of local organizations to respond to emergencies, providing essential resources that enable them to carry out their important work. This initiative exemplifies KSrelief’s broader mission to support humanitarian projects that promote the health, welfare, and dignity of displaced people and host communities across the region.
