Riyadh, March 4, 2025 – His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, hosted a warm and official reception for President Joseph Aoun of the Lebanese Republic at Al-Yamamah Palace on Monday. The visit was marked by an official ceremony, highlighting the close diplomatic ties between the Kingdom and Lebanon.


The Crown Prince extended a heartfelt welcome to President Aoun and his delegation, expressing his hopes for a pleasant and productive stay in the Kingdom. In response, President Aoun expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for the warm hospitality and the exceptional reception provided to him and his accompanying delegation, reflecting the strong relationship between the two nations.


Following the reception, HRH the Crown Prince and President Aoun engaged in official talks, during which they discussed the latest developments concerning Lebanon and the broader regional situation. The talks also focused on the ongoing efforts to address these challenges, underscoring both nations’ commitment to regional stability and progress.


In addition to regional matters, the two leaders took the opportunity to review the historical and strong bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon. They explored ways to further enhance and support these ties, emphasizing collaboration on key areas of mutual interest, including political, economic, and cultural exchanges. The discussions also highlighted both countries’ dedication to fostering peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.


The official reception was attended by several high-ranking Saudi officials, including Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and Cabinet Member, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh, and Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, Minister of Sport. Other prominent attendees included Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State and National Security Adviser. Also present were Majid Al-Kassabi, Minister of Commerce, and Prince Yazid bin Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Farhan, Advisor to the Foreign Minister for Lebanese Affairs.


The Lebanese President’s delegation included senior figures, including Walid bin Abdullah Bukhari, the Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, further emphasizing the strong diplomatic presence from both sides. The presence of such a distinguished group of Saudi leaders reflects the importance the Kingdom places on its relationship with Lebanon and the mutual respect shared between the two nations.


This meeting between Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and President Joseph Aoun represents a significant step in strengthening Saudi-Lebanese relations.
