March 26, 2025 – Following the opening of new stores in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, Lulu has launched its latest hypermarket in Al Rusayfah, located on Abdullah Areef St., Al Rusayfah District in Makkah. This expansion aligns with Lulu’s commitment to offering world-class shopping experiences to both residents and visitors while supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative.

The new store was officially opened by Abdullah Hanif, Secretary General of the Makkah Chamber, and Fahd Abdulrahman Al-Mutaz, Mayor of Rusayfah, in the presence of Ashraf Ali M.A., Executive Director of Lulu Group, Shehim Mohammed, Director of Lulu KSA, and other notable dignitaries.

Spanning approximately 200,000 square feet, the new Lulu hypermarket is designed to provide a seamless and modern shopping experience, featuring a diverse selection of daily essentials, fresh food, and departmental offerings, similar to other Lulu stores in Makkah and Madinah. The store also includes a 72-square-meter exclusive dining area for shoppers' comfort.

Ashraf Ali Musliyam, Executive Director of Lulu, expressed his excitement about expanding Lulu’s presence in the Holy Cities, stating, “We continue to expand regionally in Saudi Arabia, and the new store in Al Rusayfah creates more employment opportunities and boosts the local economy. We plan to open over 45 new stores across the GCC within three years,” which includes three new locations in Madinah.

He also highlighted Lulu’s ongoing digital transformation efforts to enhance customer experience both online and in-store.

The new Al Rusayfa store features a layout inspired by the city’s cultural and architectural essence, offering customers a spacious and easy-to-navigate shopping environment. In addition to department stores, Lulu will soon open its iconic value-added shop, LOT.

Rafeek Mohammed Ali, Business Development Director of Lulu KSA, Noushad M.A., Regional Director of Lulu KSA Western Region, and other senior officials were also in attendance.
