Makkah Region Deputy Governor Chairs Central Hajj Committee Meeting

Makkah, November 12, 2024 — Under the esteemed leadership of the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, a key meeting of the Central Hajj Committee was held today in Makkah. The Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, Prince Saud bin Mishaal, chaired the session, where representatives from various agencies gathered to review the ongoing work and coordination efforts, with a specific focus on preparations for the upcoming Umrah season and ensuring the seamless operation of related services.


The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah presented an extensive update on its collaborative efforts with more than 30 public and private agencies involved in the Umrah pilgrimage. This collaboration aims to ensure that pilgrims experience an efficient, smooth, and spiritually enriching journey. Discussions centered around the key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Umrah season of 1446 AH, with a particular emphasis on the continuous enhancement of services designed to improve the quality of the pilgrimage experience. This includes ensuring that all logistical, operational, and spiritual needs of the pilgrims are met in a timely and effective manner.


In addition to reviewing the ongoing preparations for Umrah, the committee also discussed updates regarding the Hajj plans for 1446 AH (2025 AD), exploring strategies to enhance the pilgrimage experience for the millions of Muslim visitors expected in the Kingdom. The committee addressed several key agenda items, resulting in a series of recommendations aimed at further refining the Hajj and Umrah operations. These recommendations are designed to ensure the successful and smooth execution of the two most significant religious events in the Islamic calendar, reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to providing exceptional services to pilgrims from around the world.


This meeting underscores the Saudi leadership’s dedication to improving the management of religious pilgrimages, ensuring that every aspect of the Hajj and Umrah experiences is aligned with the highest standards of service and safety, in line with the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
