Ahmed Saleh

Aden, 08 August 2023, During the initial week of August 2023, under the diligent management of the King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Action Center (KSrelief), successfully executed the crucial task of eliminating a total of 1113 landmines from diverse regions in Yemen. The cleared mines encompass a total of 123 anti-tank mines and 890 units of unexploded ordnance, which have been successfully neutralized and rendered safe.

As a safety engineer, it is crucial to address the significant issue at hand. The number of mines that have been successfully dismantled since the initiation of the project is currently 409,646. These mines, which were laid indiscriminately by the Houthi militia across Yemen, have tragically resulted in the loss of innocent lives, including children, women, and the elderly.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the auspices of KSrelief, is diligently carrying out the essential Masam project, which focuses on the safe and meticulous dismantling of mines within Yemeni territory.
