Nouakchott, September 26, 2023, The Chief of General Staff of the Mauritanian Armed Forces and a delegation from the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), led by Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, the IMCTC Secretary-General, met jointly today in Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritius. The official Mauritanian News Agency (AMI) reports that this meeting is a part of the IMCTC's working visit to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and is intended to strengthen the two countries' current collaboration, particularly in the fight against terrorism. The working session's main topic was how to improve collaboration between the IMCTC Secretariat General and the Chief of General Staff of the Mauritanian Armed Forces, particularly in the area of counterterrorism.
