Riyadh, Aug 10, 2023, The closing ceremony of the "Arab Talents" Initiative, which was organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, "Mawhiba," took place on Wednesday. The initiative involved the involvement of 378 skilled individuals, including both males and females, from 16 Arab countries. The Arab Talents Initiative was a strategic part of Mawhiba's 2023 Creativity Program, which was carried out in partnership with the Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO). The primary objective of the initiative was to empower talented students from Arab countries and enhance their skills. The three-week initiative encompassed various activities conducted at King Saud University and Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University. The activities encompassed various disciplines, including engineering, physics, medicine, chemistry, biology, mathematics, and astronomy, among others.
Dr. Amal Al-Hazzaa, the Secretary-General of Mawhiba, emphasized the significant achievements of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in identifying and supporting exceptionally skilled individuals across diverse domains for more than two decades. In addition, the speaker emphasized that the primary objective of the initiative is to identify talented individuals and provide them with the necessary tools and support to become influential leaders driving positive change in the Arab world. The initiative involved the participation of students from various countries, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, Bahrain, Tunisia, Algeria, Sudan, Iraq, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Kuwait, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, and Yemen.
