Mawhiba Launches Phase Two of Ibdaa 2025 Olympiad

Riyadh, October 28, 2024 — The second phase of the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity, known as Ibdaa 2025, has officially commenced as part of its 15th edition. This prestigious event targets middle and high school students across the Kingdom and is organized through a strategic partnership between the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and the Ministry of Education.


This year, Ibdaa 2025 has achieved a remarkable milestone, recording an unprecedented 291,057 registered students from 49 educational departments throughout the Kingdom. This number surpasses last year's impressive participation of 210,448 students in Ibdaa 2024, highlighting the growing enthusiasm and engagement among young Saudi innovators.


The Olympiad serves as the largest and most distinguished student research competition in the Kingdom, providing participants with a year-long opportunity to engage in scientific inquiry and creativity. The culmination of this experience is the Ibdaa national awards, where exceptional projects are recognized. Winners will not only gain national acclaim but also represent Saudi Arabia at prestigious international platforms, including the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2025 and other relevant global competitions.


The National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity aims to cultivate a spirit of innovation among students in the fields of science and technology.
